Overview
The Nigerian Journal of Solar Energy (NJSE) invites submissions of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical notes that advance knowledge in solar energy and renewable energy technologies. All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure high-quality publication standards.
Open Access Policy: NJSE is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in English and must be original work not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
Structure of a Manuscript
- Title Page: Concise and descriptive title, full author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and corresponding author contact details
- Abstract: 150-250 words summarizing objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions
- Keywords: 3-6 relevant keywords for indexing
- Introduction: Background, research gap, and objectives
- Materials and Methods: Detailed methodology for reproducibility
- Results: Clear presentation of findings with appropriate statistical analysis
- Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with previous work
- Conclusion: Summary of key findings and implications
- Acknowledgments: Funding sources, technical assistance
- References: Complete and properly formatted citations
Ethical Standards
NJSE adheres to the highest ethical standards. Authors must ensure:
- Originality: Work is original and properly cited
- Plagiarism: All submissions are screened for plagiarism; similarity index must be below 15%
- Conflicts of Interest: All potential conflicts must be disclosed
- Authorship: All listed authors must have contributed significantly
- Human/Animal Studies: Must include ethics approval statements
- Data Availability: Data should be made available or clearly stated where it can be accessed
Important: NJSE uses plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity scores will be rejected without review.
Submission Process
